The station offers the most direct public transit access to the Venus Fort and Palette Town shopping complex in Odaiba; it also is adjacent to an embarkation pier for the Tokyo water bus lines.
The station is located in the district called Aomi (‘blue sea’), a symbolic name for the refreshing Rinkai Waterfront area. To the south of the station spread the Aomi Container Terminal and the Odaiba Liner Terminal where numerous cargo ships can be viewed.
